Poi is a kid’s game. It is full of bright colours, broadly drawn characters, and simple rounded objects. The graphics are pretty textureless and bland, but that is probably okay for children who will simply enjoy the bright colours. The enemies are cute and non-threatening, and the objects/platforms you have to negotiate are easy to traverse. The game has all the ingredients for being a great kid’s game, but it lacks heart and feeling. The characters are as bland as their environment and the game has very little variety. Poi is ideal for tweens and upwards.
A 3D plat forming game for children to enjoy
- Bright colours and easy levels may suit children
- Very similar to the Mario 64 game
- The camera makes controlling your character a little tricky
- It is a fairly repetitive game
